KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Garsite, a household name in aviation refueling equipment, announces the addition of Debbie Godfrey as the new Parts Sales Director effective November 8, 2021.

Godfrey brings 18 years of experience in aviation parts management, supervision, and marketing. She joins Garsite to support its growing parts department.

“As an industry leader, it is imperative that Garsite’s parts program is both robust and nimble enough to support not only its own equipment but the entire industry,” Vice President of Sales, Matt Decker said.

While parts are already available through Garsite, Godfrey will play a key role in developing an advanced system.

This month, the National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) announced new members of its 407 Committee. Among them is Brian Lacher, Fuel Farm Specialist at Garsite Progress LLC. As such, Lacher will participate in discussions and decisions around standards pertaining to fire safety for aircraft fuel servicing.

Additionally, this committee is responsible for documents on fire safety procedures, equipment, and installations for aircraft fuel servicing, according to the NFPA website.

Committee members are chosen based on their qualifications and interest in the various topics. Once appointed, members meet periodically to review and sometimes edit documents related to fire safety procedures and standards.
